Wow, 2009 was quite the year! It brought the first State Championship ever in Seal's Football history. It is always easier to get to the top than to stay there. This year's team brings high expectations even with a tougher schedule due to the addition of Manheim Central and only 5 returning starters. However, the positions will be filled by some very fine athletes who gained valuable experience by seeing a lot of varsity action last season.
We started the season with a 7 on 7 competition on 7/24. Our Seals looked impressive while playing against some fine competition. The highlight of the day was when Seth Lauver arrived. The fans and players from all the teams paused to give Seth a standing ovation.
On Monday, 7/26, three grueling weeks of conditioning will begin following by two weeks of two-a-day practices. For those who love full contact football the time is near with our first scrimmage against Bellefonte on 8/21 at Harold L. Bolig Stadium. After the scrimmage I invite everyone to join the Alumni Association at the V.F.W. at 7:00pm to officially kickoff the 2010 season with the Annual Tailgate Party on the patio.
